Relieved to be Heard
Saturday, March 29, 3:15 PM
No. No, I don't want to sit on my bed wondering how the week will turn out. I don't want to wait for a miracle to occur. I'll be doing things today. I just want to be happy for a bit, distracting myself with semi-useless tasks. I'd like for people to mope with me for a bit and ask me if I'm alright. I hope I can cry with them, but hey, I don't think it'd really help. I wouldn't see that as productive either. I woke up early for a day like this. I met a new person and that made today nice. I volunteered to walk with the 17 people in the Lunar New Year walk today, representing the SCV Red Cross chapter. It's alright that not too many people came. We can all represent a school or two. I would've like for someone to really talk to during the walk; and maybe hold my hand? But they weren't there; it's okay, I just didn't ask them about it. I still think about what went down two days ago. The walk today was good exercise. We went through that route twice, when Kendrick's dad dropped us off in the other park. Now, I'm back home. Relaxing, barely actually. I submitted two decent scores of a modified game following the style of Bejeweled. I feel ready to nap, but is there time? I'm supposed to be manning the snack stand at Andrew Hill with the other badminton tourney volunteers in an hour. Ah, I'll settle for a 15 minute nap. Thank you all.

A little bit sophisticated and a big bit delightful, you're probably in the mood for something as wonderful as you are. That's why you should whip up a cheesecake as soon as possible. Of course you don't have to tell anyone how incredibly easy this cake is to make. It can be your secret — just let the great taste speak for itself!
And just think of the possibilities. Someone as creative as you probably doesn't want to snack on the same old thing. So whether you put strawberries on top, coffee inside, or just serve it perfectly plain, everyone's going to love your cheesecake tonight. It's a sure thing!

Berkeley summarized
Sunday, March 16, 10:55 PM

I've made a decision not to bring the labtop with me during BMUN. I would just hide behind it in liu of speaking behind the podium. Besides, the chair our committee informed us that there was no wireless internet accessible. We've done our research, so here was the time to reap the rewards of our efforts. I'd like to avoid summarizing the whole weekend, but let's say it was nice? Some delegates did not participate, but the majority did contribute some part. Our chair was Francis Nguyen, and he was a little too lenient on the rules of procedures. Italy started off the debate and motioned most of the rues of procedures. What prevented us from being 100% was the odd use of speaking skills. Well, I mean to say, we didn't have much to say, and that was shown. I spoke for many of the times, making it up as I went along. No written speeches, and Phuc stayed pretty quiet until Sunday. I got Annie her gift, and on that day we at the Les Burritas. Good food, afterwards was a small yoghurt shop, not frozen yogurt. At Rhyno's, the guy working there gave us discounts. Annie and me were also delighted to see the Acapella group on campus. Friday was, indeed, our debut day. We had 20-15 notes being pass every half hour. Saturday we had resolutions ready, but our Chair asked us to extended the debate due to the fact we had a guest speaker coming up. It was a very tiring day. During lunchbreak, Payam and Steven went with me to Yogurt Park, the place I went to during Science Bowl. Afterwards, I saw a paint fight break out, very messy.I loved Saturday though, dinner was upstairs in a Thai restuarant. Everyone sat nearby. That night instead of going to the delegate dance, some of us stayed at the hotel. I didn't care much to go. I was bored watching the boys play games, I went to sleep early. I also woke up early on Sunday morning. We attempted to go shopping on Sunday, but with huge groups; it doesn't work out. I think I like American Apparel and Urban Outfitters a bunch, but I wasn't able to find the right dress today. Annie promised to go shopping here one day. Committee was only 3 hours on Sunday, and we started late. Things happened, we passed two resolutions with human trafficking. We weren't able to move into voting bloc with the second topic, Crime Syndicates. Did I ever mentioned I gave up on heels? North Hall, where UNODC was held, was the furthest away from the MLK Student Union. What a walk, and I do remember the former secritarient general of BMUN. I've met him before, he stayed up during the night for a Diablo frenzy! Closing ceremonies were sort of a bore, we came back with no physical awards, but a nice experience. Phuc and I were qualified for a research award, if only we had turned in our papers within the first deadline. Sam won one, and was the only one in our club. The end of Berkeley, wasn't like the end of any movie. There was no character walking towards the sunset with new possiblities ahead, it was just all the students unwillingly returning to everyday life. School should be the same; though I wish this weekend would've lasted longer. My dad picked me up, he seemed calmer than usual. I liked this little break from home. We got Pasta Pomadoro for dinner. Elena was over, with her mom and Bac Phuc.

Oy. I should have written this earlier. So between the last two weeks of staying at home, this week has been an improvement. I got yelled earlier this morning before I went off to school. I was ready to make breakfast and I was cooking eggs in a basket, but my dad came in. He practically asked, what the heck I was making. It's basically toast and eggs in a frying pan, but he wouldn't care. He was being inconsiderate, he told me to get into the car and not to be late for school. He lectured me about my "slow" cooking, and how I should wake up earlier if I planned to cook. I left the house without breakfast, agh! It put in a off mood. I had to leave the eggs uncooked, and later in the day, I returned home to the unwashed pan complete with runny egg. It kind of sucked. Breakfast would've been nice. However, most of today went well. I was scared of the past paced schedule for today, but then again, it only was an A day. Tomorrow should be scarier. At least, I did my homework tonight. PE wasn't bad, Ruby really me us laugh today. We talk about boys everytime, and she always has something to say. Badminton went well today. I liked the last drill we did. There's a home game versus Del Mar tomorrow. BMUN is on Friday; wow, I'm totally excited. I made a great cover page for the research binder today. I also killed both computer labs' printers today. One of them ran out of paper, the other got clogged for a bit. Amazingly, I survived the day without eating much. I just bought a couple of snacks from the Key Club members who were fundraising. Elena came over and I got more work done. I liked today. I'm planning on cooking again.

Here's something to make you laugh, or just me. Paulina knows Ben. She was talking about the boys in her soccer team, and she described a tall, cutish, guy. I just had it in my mind to say, Ben; and what do you know? It was. Man, I haven't seen him in a while. I wonder how much he's changed. I had a premonition fo this moment 17 months ago. Who knew it would be fufilled this much later on. Usually my "visions" are something that would happen within the next week. Paulina and I are both still in awe. I guess everyone is connected. Well, the meeting was a bummer, so much for mandatory. I do believe in the future of our ModelUN club, and perhaps we'll achieve something great. It's just not happening this year. Too bad for the upperclassmen, who won't get to see us in the future. I had a hard time getting to the MLK today. It really pissed me off when my dad got home an hour late, after being with his friends. I wished he was more reliable at times, or at least more responsible. The meeting was boring, not everyone came. I don't have much to say about today. Paulina and I went to Quickly's and we later went to Starbucks. Why did I even bother bringing my labtop and tablet pen?
