Dennis did invite me to go to this morning to
Denny's. Well, people left school by the time my dad drove me there. It wasn't that I overslept, my dad just happened to take a while. It's just the right timing, I convinced my dad to drive me to the restaurant. The buddies were quiet....No one bothered to call me right? It's okay, I forgive them. As usual, I got my nachos! The upperclassmen arrived a little after we got our order. It wouldn't have bothered me much, but I was eating like a slob. I took out some nachos, in hopes that they wouldn't be too soggy by the next time I eat them. Paid for my nachos; Tina and Dorathy were in McDonalds. We left early, to get Starbucks, but we weren't able to get there. A police officer pulled us over. It was so dumb; we were told to stand right in front of his car. What he wanted to run us over? The officer was nice and I understand he was doing his job, but it was a waste of all our time to question us. He had thought we were ditching school, and a couple of us were too shy to speak. A backup car arrived, how odd. We could see the seniors checking up on us, but they went back inside Denny's when they spotted the cops. I guess they don't care enough about us, and let the little freshmen rot in the cold world. Louie sort of handled this situation for us. He did the majority of the talking. We took our our IDs and told him about the sophmores taking the CAHSEE. In 7 minutes or so, we were released by the officers, and told to go back to school.
We walked back. On the passage don the creek, Divina pulled along a Valentine's balloon. It will forever haunt us now. On campus, Colonel saw us, and we just told her what happened. We stayed near the tables in the quad. I improvised a birdie for a paper shuttlecock. People with first period showed up, many with some drink or food. Louie and Kenji had first period PE. They were in the large gym, doing nothing. The rest of us visited and just had a nice time talking to our fellow peers. Lunch was after. We didn't have much to do. It would've been possible to talk to more people today, but I woke up with this weird cough today. In French class we celebrated Mardi Gras by making masks, eating crepes and facepainting. I got a little sun done on the cheek. The crepes were nice with the apricot jam. The rest of the classes seemed too much like a bore. Normally we'd get out at 2:00, it was an hour later now. No time before badminton practice, it came right after PE. I was happy to do a mediorce job, the cough greatly affected my breathing. However, badminton practice was light for potential JV players. Coach Te stated that he would be cutting people this year. I know I can do good, and I'll be able to be in matches against other players soon enough. I didn't want to daddle afterschool, I just walked straight home. I hope to practice with Nguyen tomorrow, but secretly, I want to play singles. My goal, return at least 35 birdies this year.
